Mother & Daughter 2-Day Connecting through the art of dots - Workshop Join us for a memorable, creative experience designed for mothers and daughters to connect, explore, and create beautiful art together. Over two consecutive days, you will dive into the dynamic world of Connecting through the art of dots—moving from classic black-and-white ink work to vibrant, optical color mixing. 📅 Workshop Details Dates: Monday, 6th July – Tuesday, 7th July Time: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM daily (2 hours per day) Location: Connemara Creative Arts Centre, Kilkieran H91 VX4A 🎨 What the Experience Covers Day 1: Monochromatic Stippling (Ink & Depth) The Goal: Master precision, patience, and texture using only shades of black. What you’ll do: * Experiment with fine-liners, Sharpies, and traditional dip pens with ink nibs. Learn how density (clustering dots closer together) creates shadow and 3D form. Main Project: A sophisticated, high-contrast botanical or animal silhouette. Day 2: Vibrant Pointillism (Color & Light) The Goal: Explore the science of "optical blending" inspired by the French Masters. What you’ll do: Use vibrant colored pencils to place contrasting colors side-by-side instead of physically blending them. Discover how the human eye merges individual dots (like blue and yellow) into brand-new colors (like green) from a distance. Main Project: A glowing, impressionistic mini-landscape or sunset. The Grand Finale: On the final day, you will sign and varnish your finished masterpieces, ready to take home! 🎒 What to Bring Please bring your professional pencil kits all other materials are supplied by the studio.
